No Matter What is an 104-episode serial melodrama about a Latino teen named Dio and his pregnant girlfriend, Jennifer. Both characters are going through challenges staying in a relationship while Dio is in prison boot camp trying to turn his life around.
Similar to the hit television show East Los High, the drama deals with such issues as teen pregnancy, bullying, racism and achieving one’s dreams despite obstacles.
It is a program that has Latino teens talking and they have been raving about the episodes, demanding more. Educators around the country have already used the serial and the bestselling novel it’s based on as a teaching tool in middle and high schools.
It’s really a story of good vs. evil which uses the transitional character Dio and his girlfriend Jennifer as a tool for teens to see the rewards and consequences for making choices. Although the story is universal, countries such as United States, Mexico and those in the Caribbean would most benefit.
The first three episodes have been produced and we intend to create a total of 104 in the Sabido Method style that courageous organizations such as Population Media Center have championed.
